Re-defining Life

WHAT IT WAS MEANT TO BE

Surely, a whole lot is going on in our world. Things unimaginable are taking place all around the globe. Things that will make a normal thinking person believe that being normal or just being human is now no longer the way to live. From various sexual orientations that have left many confused, to violence, drug abuse, prostitution, pedophiles taking pride in their horrible activities and the various unkind policies governments of nations are putting in place for their citizens, which don’t even make any sense, let alone cut some level of wisdom.

Life has become so tensed up to the point that if something is not done quickly, or if a new narrative is not propagated, all of these things that man has built will implode and explode in ways that nothing can be gathered again.

Many have come to the point where life no longer has a clear definition outside of being born, go to school, graduate in some field depending on the fantasy life you have in mind or what you intend to do with life, get married, have children, keep some money for retirement and then when the heart has overworked itself over many years of futility and the chase for money, it gives up and rest in peace becomes the next title. So it’s a cycle of the same things over many generations, but especially the last two generations. This cycle is much stronger, howbeit, in this generation. It will be a major breakthrough if somehow someone will just pause and ask “what is life really?” I think it’s time we all take time out to ask and also get a clear definition of what life really is and whose plan it is for us to be here. I want to believe you didn’t think being here was a coincidence or as some foolish mind of man calls our being here a result of some big bang stuff. That doesn’t make sense. For instance, if the car I am driving was created, built by a thinking mind and not some big bang, then why should I who is driving the car that was built by someone now be a result of a big bang? Wisdom is profitable to direct and foolishness has a face, we just have to look at it and see it for what it is.

ORIGIN OF LIFE

Life didn’t just begin from some fancy breakage of atoms and molecules or whatever the big bang theory told us. That theory doesn’t even make sense. I believe there are people that are reading the words of this article who may not be Christians and so they may not necessarily accept the teachings of the Christian Bible. I respect that, but I will nonetheless bring out a few tips from the Bible just to make my point about life clearer. Below are a few scriptures to help create a context about how our lives began. I do not believe in some magical big bang theory creating our earth, but I do believe in the “Big Bang” sound of God, whose voice brought all things to be in the beginning.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:1 , 3 – 5 NKJV

“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” Revelation 4:11 NKJV

From both scriptures, we clearly see that life is not a coincidence, but a deliberate creation by a deliberate God for a deliberate purpose in a deliberate people. God made man and all things for Himself. Meaning the actual meaning or purpose of life cannot be outside of the One who made it and gave it to us. Period! Jesus came to model this reality for us when He was on earth. He, Jesus, didn’t try to do anything that was not what God wanted. Meaning, He learnt and understood by the things He saw in God to live in a certain way on earth, thus creating a pattern for us to emulate. Living on earth will be beautiful if each one will just stick to the divine plan for them and then create a corresponding lifestyle that matches that divine plan.

Life redefined

Life for me is from the usage of an acronym means Living In Father’s Expression. What does that mean really? It means life is about spirit and truth. Spirit in its simplest form means knowing what is written of you in the heart of God and truth means creating and living out the lifestyle or reality that matches that which is revealed in Spirit. Meaning that if what is written of me in Spirit doesn’t entail having a university degree, then I have no business creating a narrative of university degree for myself. This may not make any sense to many overloaded minds who think life is a competition for the supposed little space on earth, and thus the need for high sounding degrees in order to have an edge. The chaos of purpose, lifestyle, careers etc that we have in the world right now is because most don’t even try to find out what their life is supposed to be in God and then live out the physical reality of that which is in God. John 4 speaks about Jesus and the woman at the well. Jesus introduced the true meaning of life to her using worship. But that event wasn’t talking about worship in the sense of singing or music that we have turned it into, for clearly there was no singing and music going on between Jesus and the woman. And because Jesus said “the hour is coming and now is”, it means what He was saying will come to pass and also it happened instantly with the woman. Clearly, immediately she understood the new narrative of her life by her interaction with the Christ, She left her pot, a symbol of what she thought life was before she met Jesus and went into the city to bring the men, which was a symbol of her true life and purpose. Instantly she became aware that her purpose was to give of the water of life that she had received, to others. For Jesus told her, not as a suggestion, but as a statement of truth that: “…whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14). Her physical expression instantly matched up with her eternal reality and her life instantly made meaning. This is what life and living is about.

I have heard many talk about truth as a concept or some new found doctrine. But what I really don’t hear many say, is what truth really means. Truth for me and as the life of Jesus on earth puts it, is the physical faith expression of a spiritual reality in God. Meaning we should not talk about truth until we have understood spirit. Meaning, you can’t live out in the physical the expression of a spiritual reality you are not aware of. The entire life of Jesus on earth as an expression of truth was Him living out who He was before the foundation of the earth. He came to die in the physical the death He had died in the spirit before the earth was created. Thus matching both realities together as one. That’s the true meaning of life. Living a physical expression of your spiritual reality irrespective of whether the lifestyle chosen for you makes any sense to those around or not. I believe this is also why we are admonished in scripture to listen to the voice of the Spirit in our daily life. Why is that? Walking by listening to the voice of the Spirit allows our daily physical life to match with our spiritual reality and by that we know the mind of God which also is eternal life.

In conclusion, let us remember that eternity is recording every single detail of how we live out the physical expression of our spiritual reality. So live right!
