Service Providers or Spy Agents?

Life on earth has definitely changed and may not stop until everything either implodes or explodes or a kind of evolution takes place to completely alter the world’s trajectory. We hope for the best though.

Talking about change, evolution and the other stuff going on in our world, one thing that clearly takes the lead is how technology and the way it’s being used is changing and also defining more things for humans than normal. In fact, it’s like technology has pushed humans to the back of the queue and this is happening at an alarming rate, even as we see the start of what they call the next evolution, which is the merging of humans and machines, take shape.

I know next to nothing about how artificial intelligence works, but I am sure I can mention a few things about what I have experienced.

I do a lot of learning by observation and connecting dots to form a thought. I really do not think that anyone using phones and social media will be surprised if I say that I think social media platforms are not just platforms for social meetings but have also become tools for controlling and manipulating human realities. You may or may not agree with my statement, but here is what I have observed over time. We are now in the age where you find yourself talking in your house with your wife, hubby or friends about a particular product or service and the next minute you go on your social media platform, you find the very same product or service you just talked about advertised to you on your page.  If you have not noticed it, then maybe you should pay a little more attention and you will see. It looks like some kind of magic or even sorcery but it’s very real and it’s a form of control over your reality. Your social media is a tool for monitoring, manipulating and controlling you by analyzing the things you talk about, places you go, things you prefer to buy etc., and then using that information and data to suggest things to you. In fact, they sell the data to big companies for marketing. But who in God’s name gave these guys such power to invade and pervert people’s choices and decision making  by encroaching on their privacy? The answer is the people. Some call it technological advancement and the convenience of using artificial intelligence, but they will be surprised where really this whole issue of AI is going when it finally arrives there. It’s not a good space, it is evil and it’s your liberty, your freedom and your personal data that is financing the madness.

Spy agents?

Sometime last year, I had gone with my wife to change her glasses in one of these optician’s shops located in a shopping mall where they also do eye tests. I will skip the name of the shop. She did her eyeglass change and I thought I should just check my eyes for the fun of it. I did the eye test and nothing was wrong, so we left. Around the middle of February this year, I was walking with my wife  in Nairobi central business district and something happened that got me thinking about how controlled and monitored our lives have become. As we walked past the entrance of a branch of the very same eyeglass shop where she got her glasses a year before, which I think should be more than 40 kilometers apart, I got a text message on my phone which says “Dear Mr Samuel, it has been 1 year since your last eye test. Please come in for your Free Annual Eye Test. Thank you.” Imagine the message came right as we walked past the entrance to the eyeglass shop .

We were so jazzed by that experience because my wife too got the same message. Now here is the thing. How on earth did they know I was passing a branch of their shop at that very moment and how was my movement captured on the very day it became one year since we had visited their other shop? I really do not know and not knowing is what bothers me. Another question is, is this monitoring of my phone done by the eyeglass shop based on the phone numbers we registered with them when we visited or the mobile service provider whose sim cards we use on our phones? That too bothers me because I do not know. But what I do know is that, the entire experience is not a coincidence. Because if you look carefully at the message I got and the wording, you see a deliberate usage of words that suggests it was not a coincidence. Look at this carefully and you will see what I mean: Please COME IN for your Free Annual Eye Test . And this invitation to come in was right at the door of the shop like a salesperson standing right there and saying come in.

It is clear that there is a deliberate monitoring of people that is done using technology. For me I did not even remember it had been a year since we visited the initial shop. To some people, it may look like some kind of timely reminder for another eye test, but who says I need another eye test? And knowing that sorcery works by suggestion, it’s easy to fall into such traps by simply turning into the shop as we passed by when we received the messages. Meaning that the response a person gives to those suggestions is really what the control and manipulation of human reality is. Being able to suggest to you what you should do and by that, implant in your head the idea of that very thing they just suggested to you.

Pay attention

The global manipulators have somehow perfected the art of using technology to influence the five human senses to both manipulate, control and alter choices, decisions and desires. Some call it marketing strategy but it’s what it is…Mind Control. So you find yourself entering a shop to get something specific that you had in mind but changing your mind and getting something else because it was subtly suggested to you by the advert and promotion showing on the big wide screen on the wall. That is not an advert created to help you make a better choice but a tool to alter your thinking and choice making by controlling and manipulating reality around you. And that tool of manipulation was paid for to the tunes of millions of dollars.

The direction the world is going in is not really good and one has to be armed with some information about how things are done or else one will keep falling into the trap set by the faceless data miners and reality manipulators. Think where your data is going when you sign up for stuff online and when you post stuff on the internet. For you just may not be dealing with service providers but spy agents, and also remember that the internet never forgets.
